Nestled in the heart of Southbury, Pomperaug Elementary School is one of four elementary schools in Region 15. Our school serves many wonderful students, and is supported by a caring community, involved parents, an exceptional staff, and a dedicated Board of Education.

Pomperaug Elementary School is a safe, nurturing, stimulating school where everyone is capable of excellence! We engage and challenge each child to achieve high standards of academic performance through serious sustained effort. At Pomperaug Elementary School we strive to provide all children with rigorous learning experiences that include clearly defined expectations, relevant content, and differentiated instruction. We believe that all students must develop the habits of mind necessary to meet challenges with confidence and assume responsibility for learning. We work collaboratively as a staff and with parents to educate students to become intelligent, resourceful, resilient, and productive members of our community.
